Malaysia's vital D-day | Bangkok Post: opinion

On the surface, it seems an easy win for Dr Mahathir. The huge 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal has labelled Mr Najib as personally corrupt, while the opposition leader is squeaky clean. Mr Najib alone has been accused of channelling more than 2.67 billion ringgit -- 21.5 billion baht -- into his personal bank account. That will not just allow but enable unlimited corruption and abuse of power that could conceivably even dwarf the 1MDB scandal.
